A twist and a kick from MOWI Salmon UK: New Gin and Hot Honey flavours hit the market
MOWI Salmon UK have just launched two new flavours of smoked salmon into retail giant Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.
A new twist on a classic flavour, the Gin and Lemon flavoured smoked salmon will be perfect as a starter or canapé. Marinated with gin, juniper oil and decorated with lemon zest, these cold smoked slices give a sophisticated flavour without smothering the taste of the mild oak smoke of the salmon.
With bold innovation, a new ‘Hot Honey’ flavour is also being launched – ready to eat and something new and totally “on-trend” in the UK. Rosyth’s kilnmasters gently smoke our salmon over oak chips for a mild flavour, then expertly marinade it with honey and sriracha chilli to give a medium spicy finish to the salty sweetness of our salmon. Delicious as a starter or for a twist on scrambled eggs or bagel.
Both packs are 100g and will be supported in store with promotions, ecommerce and point of sale. Out of store, marketing support will engage social media influencers to provide serving inspiration.
