There are many effective ways to get rid of the smell of fish after cooking. Try using an extractor fan (with windows and doors open too if possible). You could try lighting a scented candle although this really only masks the smell. Another approach is to simmer an odour killer like vinegar, lemon or cloves and spices on your stove.
